Canadian International School Summer Camp

Canadian International School summer camps offer a wide variety of activities designed to stimulate children’s interest in learning and develop their leadership and teamwork skills. Summer camps cover a wide variety of topics and activities, including arts and crafts, sports, scientific exploration, outdoor adventures and more. By participating in these activities, students will not only have a fun and exciting summer vacation, but will also be able to enhance their social skills, boost their self-confidence, and make new friends in an enjoyable atmosphere.

At the Canadian International School Summer Camp, students will have the opportunity to participate in a variety of creative and artistic activities in categories that include creativity and performance, global languages, multi-purpose activities, sports and wellness, and STEAM that will stimulate their creativity and imagination. In addition, sports are an important part of the camp, as students can participate in a variety of sports such as basketball, soccer, swimming, etc. to exercise and develop teamwork. The Canadian International School summer camp will also organize scientific exploration activities, allowing students to experience the fun of science first-hand in the laboratory and explore the mysteries of nature.

Bilingual World Experience

Combining diverse activities such as art, food and storytelling, this program is taught in both English and Chinese, allowing children to acquire language skills in a natural context and realizing the perfect blend of learning and entertainment.

Focusing on the integrated education of Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics (STEAM), this program guides children to explore the infinite possibilities of the STEAM field through hands-on and fun activities, such as chemistry experiments, engineering modeling, electronics, and digital art.

This course is designed to inspire children’s engineering design potential and develop the basic skills and innovative thinking of future engineers through hands-on projects such as building prototype arms and programming microchips.

During the five-day program, children will have the opportunity to explore global cuisines and learn about eating habits in different cultures, as well as learn basic cooking skills to enhance cultural understanding and appreciation.

Through hands-on participation in activities such as tree planting, resource recycling and farming, this program aims to cultivate children’s sense of responsibility and protection of the ecological environment and encourage them to become active practitioners of environmental protection.

This program provides in-depth cultural immersion experiences through a variety of methods, such as visual arts, storytelling and role-playing, to help children gain a deeper understanding and appreciation of different cultures while enhancing their second language skills.

An in-depth exploration of the basics and techniques of electronic music production, this program invites children to try their hand at creating personal, original musical compositions that inspire musical creativity and artistic expression.

With language and performing arts at its core, this program encourages children to express themselves creatively, delve deeper into characterization, and put on a final stage performance through playwriting, set design, and costume and prop making.

This program is designed to develop social skills, courageous expression and creative thinking through activities such as craft making, outdoor art projects and creative recycled material utilization.

Students will have the opportunity to experience many different sports including soccer, modified baseball, basketball, ping pong, and dodgeball. Improve your child’s leadership and team building skills while making new friends.

This course provides introductory scuba diving instruction, allowing children to experience the wonders of the underwater world, learn basic scuba diving skills, and enhance their understanding of marine ecology and conservation awareness.

Classes will use new art styles, materials and techniques to create unique works of art such as undersea style flashlights, knitted snowflakes and homemade donuts among other exciting projects. Designed to inspire creativity, the daily activities cover painting, crafts and other forms of art making, ensuring that each participant experiences art in an environment full of innovation and exploration.

Participants will explore the history of aviation, from the Wright Brothers to the major milestones of modern aviation, and learn about the evolution of flight. Through the Aviation Experience Kit, students will learn the principles of aviation hands-on by building gliders, spinners, kites and parachutes by hand. The program also includes drone programming to enhance technical skills.

Caveats:
Parents can drop off their children in the morning (8.30am-9am) and pick them up in the afternoon (2.55pm-3pm) on the campus, which is closed to parents at other times;

A trained nurse is on site during all camps, please let us know of any health concerns when you submit your application; bus transportation to and from camps is provided by the school, if transportation is needed you will need to sign up for a separate application for a weekly bus fee of $120; space in the program is limited and is available on a first-come, first-served basis, so feel free to ask one of our instructors for specific program details!
