Short-term Micro-Study at Hanwha International School

HWA offers short-term micro-study programs especially for students from around the world. We offer all students the opportunity to experience HWA’s unique bilingual and dual-textual program by taking part in our existing courses. We believe that continuous interaction and communication in the language is effective in enhancing language and social skills.

Bilingual students often make more significant academic progress. Research has shown that students who participate in a bilingual experiential program often acquire good academic skills in addition to language enrichment. It is possible to achieve full language proficiency and bilingualism in English and Chinese. Language learning is relatively easy for the youngest students. By fifth grade, students can successfully learn to speak, read, and write in both languages through daily exposure to and instruction in the second language. In such an environment, students develop both their literary literacy and cognitive strength. In addition, the MicroStudy program is beneficial for students to have the ability to communicate with people from different language and language backgrounds.

Your child will be educated to be an educated, caring and reflective global leader of the future. That is what HHIS wants to do. The International School of Philosophy in Singapore is a program that aims to nurture bright and curious people and prepare them for the future.

The curriculum follows the IB system and includes English, Science, Mathematics, Art, Units of Inquiry, Humanities and Society.

Extra-curricular activities play an important role in the development of a student’s consciousness. They play an important part in your school’s vitality, and they are not limited to the academic curriculum, but are balanced and structured so that every student has the opportunity to learn outside the classroom. Extra-curricular activities help students to develop social skills, intellectual skills, moral values and character development. Extra-curricular activities are a perfect way for students to find interests and hobbies in activities other than academic study. Students who are interested in a particular activity can pursue their own careers in that field.
